The assault resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
